Membership of the AMS-IX Association

Before connecting to the Amsterdam Internet Exchange you must become a member of the non-profit, neutral and independent AMS-IX association. The association has no bias as to who connects (provided they meet the membership criteria) and its operational decisions are not directly influenced by any financial gains.

Being an Internet Exchange since 1994 has provided AMS-IX with a wealth of industry related knowledge and an unparalleled reputation within the Internet world. The Association is the single shareholder (and thus 100% owner) of the AMS-IX BV Company that employs a team of dedicated professionals, keeping the operational exchange platform at the highest level of industry standards and plans for future growth. The members of the Association are the customers of the Company.

At present, over 300 Internet related companies, not just from the Netherlands or Europe, are connected to AMS-IX, creating many peering possibilities between the Association's members and making it very attractive to connect to this hub,
